Adjani’s Crib (CAP)

I know I shouldnt really put this video up but i just got the 5D at this point and Adjani was bored so we decided lets do s cribs video. The foolishness we get up to, I will have you know this was done in one shot only once no do overs…. I apologize for the sideway view it only last for 45 seconds. This just shows that Adjani is so cocky for the both of us that I dont need to be.

MiMi CHiQ (CAP)

Mimi I have known for quite sometime now, met her while she was doing her shopping where we both use to live at one point in London, I admired her dreads then later after knowing her, her whole persona. She is the partner of Blaise which I featured in my previous post. She has always had a unique sense of fashion and thinking. Now I have always heard of “Personal Shoppers” but never met one till I met her. She is a female with endless talent.

Blaise- I ♥ RASTA (CAP)

Now if I was to every try and describe the 2011 “hippy” Blaise would be my bench mark as to how i would describe them. When I come along to people who have such a unique name like this, always have me thinking why didn’t my mom think of this. Blaise is a very motivated person with what would be called as “Jack of all traits”. A relaxed easy going person who always seems to be doing things for not just himself but the people around him.

A Daily Basis (Emmavie)

One of my many blessings is that I am surrounded by talented people all day round, This is not the first or second video done of Emmavie by me and it aint definitely not the last. I titled it daily basis simply because this is actually what happens around me every single day. Emmavie is apart of Tr3House and is the only woman in it, she holds her ground firmly in it. With talent like this there is no stopping her, she is definitely the next big thing.

Kooka Boora Cafe

I spent couple days in Paris and this has to be the coolest place I visited. In a little cafe 5 mins from the Hotel I stayed, I felt more in France in that cafe than any other place even the Eiffel Tower. Loved how they served coffee even though they were more expensive than my regular Starbucks. I just felt like recording it and I even started editing bits of it in the cafe. Could of done way better with the video but I hope you guys enjoy.

C.A.P.- Jon Win

The last name alone puts this dude in my cool books, I was in Paris for a couple a days with my cousin and a friend who goes by Pirate Jenny (this will be explained in other posts) and as females do they shop. They stumbled across this little vintage store on a street filled with what would be called “high fashion”. Soon as I got in I saw this dude with the coolest rolled up pants I have seen in awhile, and with a name like  Win you simply cant lose. Popped in a  few photos of what my cousin got

C.A.P-Asatira

I wont spill too much on Asatira because there will be more about her in the near future on my blog, but she has the shy-boastful character about her that I dont know how she pulls it off. Very proud person and is very defined in what she likes and doesn’t. We met through a poet that we are both close to so finding her someone who lives for the art although is no surprise anyways Asatira.

Back to Blogging

Yes! so for those who come on my blog I have been cheating you on what I have been up to for the past almost two months. The truth is I have been not been doing much well much for blooging purposes, mainly because I had won the blog awards in jamaica which i am most grateful especially since I didn’t think I would. I found that I had a barage of people coming to see what I what I have been doing and personally some I don’t think would be appropriate for eyes close to me. Anyways enough of me talking about what has been happening I will show you ideas I have been doing and people I have been meeting and more places I have been.

Thank you for continuing to supporting me and coming to my blog

Henry.

Her name is Michal

Someone born to be in front the camera, thats Michal. Now you would walk past her on the road and think nothing of it but I guarantee  you would not pass a picture of her and not stop (I double dear you cant). Almost sorry for who is going to be represented by her (Law Student), she has a crazy mental mind but someone that there is not a dull time. We spent an hour or more in the cold taking photos which for about 45 minutes of it she was scared of either the train tracks, rats, dark, imaginary, and unforeseen creatures but as soon as she saw the first flash showing that a picture is about to be taken all fear left and these are just a few results:

…Aka “Ressy” “Cherry”

Unorthodox is the only way I can describe Cherry, everything about her screams high fashion wife. A university student who majors in fashion may seem like a child to many but in actuality is an adult to the world. She has lived in more places than she lets off, fluent not just in the obvious English but in Italian and her childish  “gypsy” talk. This is not the case when you get to know her. She couldn’t care less what she is seen in but always seems to pull off her attire. A night around the town with her is actually a “guys” night out cause she fits right in. Guaranteed she knows more about football than some guys I’ve met. A real creative person and I can honestly say she is one of the biggest reasons why The H. R. Gallery is running and its not just because she likes to have her photos taken much as I like to take em’.

Jamaican Blog Awards

First and foremost I wanna than God… naw naw am playing, am sorry for posting this so late (typical Jamaican, I was without Athena “my laptop” for a day) but I am pleased that I won because I had given some of my days vote to Ishka Design (very impressed with her blog and what she shares with the world). I have recently placed her in  my “blogroll” (thats one of the small boxes to the right have a look and see who I was put up against). If there is anyone to thank is the person who nominated me because till now I am clueless as to how I even got on the awards. I wasn’t even able to watch it over the internet because I was stuck on the stupid night bus which are the worst when in a hurry. I read the review and my mother told me about the event and by the sounds it went well minus some hiccups and possibilities of it not being a one hit wonder seems slim, there is hope for it.  Some pictures that I was tagged in on facebook of my uncle, photography is his hobby my passion and my mother is the engine of this little pop down deportee that walks around with a camera.

Carmarley Dennis

With an avid eye for detail and his vast knowledge of fashion trends and designs you would think that Carmarley was a professional in that field. If there was anyone around me who I was influenced by it would be Carmarley, who is currently pursuing a second degree in the field of Law. He always seemed to know more than the average Joe: I remember walking into a store and liking a pair of jeans, while Carmarley and  one of the workers conversed about how brilliant another pair was with respect to stitching and quality material, etc. It was obvious of course that I had no idea that there was so much to know and appreciate when buying a fashionable pair of jeans! I have always said that I was totally into fashion, however, I wasn’t able to tell what was “hip” from that which was not, until till I met photography.

Fashionationonline

Its funny how you meet people in a certain situation and then see them in another. I have been working with Gideon Cudjoe for a couple months now being one of his photographers for his online magazine called fashionationonline. I can say without tarnishing his name that he is one of the most immature people you will ever come across, but when it comes to work he is one of the most efficient persons I have ever met. He “literally doesn’t rest until the work is done. One quick glance at Gideon you’d think he was far removed to any form of fashion, but looking closely and talking to him you’d find a world of information. This is his fourth issue and I was one of his photographer on the shoot.

Leanne Talbot

Spontaneous, crazy, trooper, “Do whatever, these are things that come to mind when I think of Leanne. Known of her through few people but didn’t start talking to her till we were both in London. She ended coming over to my place to shoot some pix and we even went as far as doing some videos (which I am still yet to complete editing). On my “ten day trip in Jamaica” I manage not only to see her but to actually get some semi decent shots in. With no real idea set to do we went to a pitch black beach in the night and well this is what came out.

Leave A Trail

Now firstly for anyone who knows me knows I rarely think things and events are “signs”. Hate going to galleries and hear people predict what the painter was thinking when they we doing a painting. drawing etc. I don’t believe in horoscope or believe that I have to find someone compatible to my horoscope (Ladies I am a Virgo 😉 ).

I was doing one of my cross country trips with a close friend of mine during my ten day visit home in Jamaica. She does that has her traveling the country repairing equipment for major companies (I think thats sexy for a female to be doing). Anyway let me get to the story…

Ended up on a beach find small things to take pictures of and a boy was walking towards me with two long sticks and he was dragging them through the sand usually this would have me snapping away but it took me awhile to do so. I watch him coming my way for awhile till he past me. What i found wierd was i kept watching the sticks in his hand and the his face where he was smiling the whole time. When he past I started taking pictures and he kept looking back and smiling, I took a few more.

Leave a trail I say (in this boys case two) so people travelling your path have an option to follow. Leave an impression that no matter how many trails or distractions there are yours stand out.

Guinness and Sand on my Feet

I learnt on this day that guinness went well with everything: wine, hennessy, fish, festival and even sand.
